Today, we celebrated the achievements of our KS3 students at our Junior Prize Giving ceremony 2023. All our students were congratulated in their efforts during their KS3 experience and were encouraged to sustain their enthusiasm and commitment throughout their KS4 journey. Our distinguished guest, Mark Downey spoke to our students inspiring them with his own story. Mark is a former student of St. Patrick’s College and an Irish road and track cyclist who competed in the Common Wealth Games in 2018 and achieved 3rd place in the Worlds 2019 and his greatest achievement was participating in the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021. He left a lasting message with our students today, “if you are not a winner today you can still be a champion tomorrow.”
