The coveted positions of the Senior Prefect Team are announced at the beginning of each academic year.  The roles advertised include Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl and Senior Prefects.  Students that are interested in the posts undergo a rigorous application process which involves completing an application form and undergoing an interview with the Senior Management Team in school.

Once appointed, members of the Senior Prefect Team are asked to represent the St Patrick’s student body at various functions and events and are required to carry out other duties in school.  In addition to their specific roles, the Senior Prefect Team provides a vital link between students and staff. They routinely contribute to the life of the school, provide support and guidance to younger students and are fantastic role models. Finally, the Senior Prefect Team are given the opportunity to develop key leadership skills while feeling their voice is being listened to and their opinions valued and respected.
